| About Moot Court at UVA | |
| The
moot court program at the University of Virginia School of Law is
administered entirely by students. The primary purpose of the broader
program is to help as many students as possible develop and refine the art
of advocacy.
The program consists of: the Lile Moot Court Competition, a two year intramural appellate advocacy competition run by the William Minor Lile Moot Court Board; Extramural Teams, which compete against other law schools in appellate advocacy and other law-related competitions, run by the Extramural Moot Court Board; and the National Trial Advocacy Team, which competes against other law schools in mock trial competitions.
